Program will give $250,000 to software firm, human rights project for work technology targeting slavery

 

A software team that believes technology can help eliminate slave labor from supply chains will be awarded $250,000 for its efforts.

Trace Register, whose customers include Whole Foods Market Inc.and Wegmans Food Markets, and the human rights advisory firm Sustainability Incubator won the award for jointly developing a service that helps seafood companies vet their suppliers to determine potential risks for slave labor.
