Resource / Community Energy Manager: an initiative to help community groups plan energy projects

By Gemma Adams / 08 May 2017

Community Energy Manager (CEM) is an initiative being incubated by sustainability charity Bioregional. It was the winner of the Nesta Open Data Challenge (Energy & Environment) in 2014, receiving seed funding and professional support. CEM helps community groups to plan and deliver better energy projects by bringing together and analysing relevant information about their local area. The intention is for it to become an independent social enterprise, once it is able to generate enough ongoing income.
