Resource / Ethical OS: Silicon Valley's guide to avoiding ethical disaster with technology

By Sam Zak / 23 Aug 2018

A new guidebook has been published to help Silicon Valley tech companies navigate the ethical implications of their products and services. The guide, the Ethical OS, comes from a partnership between the think-tank the Institute for the Future and the impact investment firm Tech and Society Solutions Lab.

The guide is intended as a bridge between research and companies with influence. It functions as a workbook with checklists and basic solutions focusing on near future scenarios that could threaten companies, a strategy for mitigating disasters in eight risk-zones and a set of seven future-proofing strategies to help teams take more ethical actions.

What might the implications of this be? What related resources have you seen?
