'Reviving the Ocean Economy: A Case for Action 2015' is a WWF report in collaboration with the Global Change Institute and the Boston Consulting Group. In the words of Marco Lambertini, Director General of WWF International, it "spells out what we all stand to lose if the mismanagement of ocean assets continues", by illustrating the economic case for ocean conservation.

The authors estimate the value of coastal and oceanic environments conservatively at US$2.5 trillion each year, and say the overall value of the ocean as an asset is 10 times that.
