Infinite designer wardrobe app enables sustainable fashion future

Signal of change / Infinite designer wardrobe app enables sustainable fashion future

Problem solved. Now you never have to worry about wasting money on a special event outfit for one-time use. The Singapore-based designer clothing app, Style Theory, has found a way to give women infinite wardrobe possibilities and enable greater visibility and feedback for small scale designers. Subscribers use an app to pick out three items of clothing, which they get to keep for a week and then return. On the back end, Style Theory's staff make sure what you've chosen matches your measurements, and out goes your box!

So what?

Working with local delivery start-up HonestBee and Jeeves dry cleaning and alteration systems, Style Theory is able to quickly clean and deliver clothes across town, enabling many different women to try out the same garments and explore unique looks as often as they want. At the same time, designers get fast, sincere feedback through the relative popularity of their items as well as how subscribers assessed the fit and look of their clothing, enabling them to better respond to market preferences. Thanks to great collaboration between ICT start-ups, Style Theory enables a more sustainable, highly-customised and diverse future fashion ecosystem. The only downside is the long wait list to subscribe.
