India is looking at having an all-electric car fleet by 2030 with an express objective of lowering the fuel import bill and running cost of vehicles. Power minister Piyush Goyal has said that the government and NITI Aayog are working on a policy for promotion of electric vehicles.

India Considers 100% Electric Vehicles By 2030

The Indian government is working on ways to incentivize consumers to purchase electric vehicles with a target to have a 100% electric car fleet by 2030. The Minister for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy Piyush Goyal recently that his government is looking at innovative ways to have people purchase electric vehicles without the need for any subsidies.
