Charoen Pokphand to build pig farm in China

Agribusiness conglomerate Charoen Pokphand (CP) is building a pig breeding farm for 500,000 pigs in remote western China. The Thai giant - which is known locally in China by its Mandarin name Zheng Da - has signed an agreement with officials in Menyuan County, part of the Haibei region of Qinghai province.
