Signal of change / Solar self-charging cars

By Fiona Dowson / 10 Oct 2016
A new German start-up called Sono Motors is exploring technology the potential for a solar-powered electric vehicle. They're planning to test drive their car in the first half of 2017 which can travel just under 20 miles per day using energy directly from the sun alone. Combined with ability to charge at a growing number of charging stations, this technology could make electric cars even more attractive for personal and business use, and reduce reliance on grid electricity as the electric vehicle fleet grows.
