This is interesting because it shows that the tech industry lacks governance and guidance. Businesses start acting voluntary on it (as government can't keep up with the pace of tech development) - which is great but also changes power dynamics of the system.

'Partnership on AI' formed by Google, Facebook, Amazon, IBM and Microsoft

Google, Facebook, Amazon, IBM and Microsoft are joining forces to create a new AI partnership dedicated to advancing public understanding of the sector, as well as coming up with standards for future researchers to abide by.

A great article , Michaela . When will these high end Technologies be available to the developing world & humanity on the whole, I guess ,would be the defining step.
