PwC employee, Benjamin Oghene, has developed a virtual reality experience called In My Shoes which allows you to ‘be’ different people in an everyday setting.
He created the platform after being wrongly arrested for armed robbery whilst on his lunch break.
So what?
Oghene was intrigued to explore how data and VR could be used to support EDI efforts. He explained that it allows you to go further than usual EDI training and development, as it evokes empathy and gives a ‘wake-up’ call to users.
It shows the power of scenarios and data, and raises questions about how we can use this hybrid way of learning to tackle further social issues in the workplace, and more widely in society.
