The Arctic’s rapid warming, four times faster than the global average, is causing glaciers and sea ice to melt quickly. Greenland’s thawing ice is uncovering valuable resources like coal, metals, and minerals, attracting interest from the US and China keen on exploring these new resources.

Simultaneously, China dominates global critical mineral supply chains, accounting for approximately 60% of world-wide production and 85% of processing capacity.
