Luxury French fashion label goes into voluntary liquidation in order to re-launch as a sustainable brand

Luxury French fashion label Vionnet announced in October that it would be going into voluntary liquidation in order to re-launch itself as a sustainable brand. Having worked on a “sustainable collection” earlier in 2018, the brand’s Chairwoman and Creative Director, Goga Ashkenazi, said that she came to realise the enormity of the challenge faced by companies trying to improve their practices and that the company would need to be completely restructured in order “to be absolutely credible in our revolution”.
