In the fifth episode of the Futuring Podcast, Ivana Gazibara, Director of the Futures Centre, talks to Cressida Pollock, the Co-Director of Quadrature Climate Foundation, former Chief Executive of English National Opera, and founding member of Somerset Capital Management.
Tune in to hear Cressida’s fresh perspective on restructuring traditional philanthropic practices for more holistic investments, how climate change is informing this transformation, why tracking positive impacts will lead to more sincere transition pathways and how going beyond the old nonprofit archetype leads to sustained relationships with grantees, in turn, creating deeper impact.
Cressida’s Quadrature Climate Foundation is a new UK-based foundation that aims to grant $100M-150M per year to combat the climate emergency.
She was responsible for the rescue and turnaround of the English National Opera from 2015 to 2018, thanks to her background in transforming organizations and systems like multi-national companies, governments, and NGOs.
Her current focus is the deployment of philanthropic and commercial capital to impact the current trajectory of climate change and build solutions for long-term sustainable economic systems.
