Canada-based company, Carbon Engineering Ltd has secured funding to build a plant that will remove CO2 from the atmosphere.
The plant does this by converting it into clean fuels made from air, water and renewable power. This fuel can be used by existing vehicles without any modifications.
The plant has the ability to pull one megaton of CO2 from the atmosphere each year, which equates to the annual emissions of 250,000 cars.
