CDs and vinyl outselling downloads of music

CDs and vinyl are the top-selling format for music, below streaming, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Since 2012, downloads began to outsell physical forms of media and by 2016, the revenue from downloads passed that of physical media as well. However, download revenues fell 25% in 2017, and CDs and vinyl only dropped 4%, and so they are now the top of non-streaming music formats.
