Connected cars make up nearly 50% non-phone connections

Network connections to non-phone connectors have increased from 10 million in 2010 to nearly 40 million today. Network provider AT&T has listed 17.8 million connections from “connected cars”, making up nearly half of all non-phone connections. These connections could be used for entertainment and telematics systems, autonomous driving and 5G networks.
