Following recent signatories by major asset managers, $43tn of managed assets are now committed to a net-zero target.

So what?
Asset managers’ focus on climate change goals means that investors will be forced to look to cleaner investments to meet these goals. This may signal a change in the financial sector, which has traditionally contributed to the climate crisis by investing in dirty sectors. Increased investment in cleaner sectors, should speed up the transition to a net-zero economy.
