A method for separating and recycling polyester and cotton blends has been developed which will accelerate the production of new textile out of discarded clothes.

 

Inventing new ways to recycle

One of the biggest challenges in the fashion industry is producing new textile out of bold garments. H&M Foundation has partnered with HKRITA to develop methods for recycling blend textiles into new fabrics and yarns. One year later, a method for separating and recycling polyester and cotton blends has been developed.
