The world’s first plastic-free Trust Mark will make its debut on Iceland own brand products as well as the brand Teapigs this month. It will also be rolled out in all 74 outlets of Dutch supermarket chain Ekoplaza, the first supermarket to have a plastic-free aisle.
The Trust Mark was developed by environmental campaigners A Plastic Planet, to show shoppers which products are made from eco-friendly packaging. Products such as tinned beans, wet wipes and teabags often contain hidden plastic unbeknownst to shoppers, contributing to the large volume of plastic waste accumulating in our oceans.
