Tesco, Waitrose and M&S launch own-brand vegan ranges in the UK

Tesco has become the latest supermarket to launch an own brand vegan range, which is available in over 600 stores, adding to the growing list of supermarkets that have increased their plant based options over recent years.  Other retailers who have also increased their vegan options include Sainsbury’s, who in 2016 launched their own range of vegan cheeses.

They have since expanded their range of vegan products due to rising demand, with items such as BBQ Pulled Jackfruit now available. Both Waitrose and Marks & Spencer also launched their own plant based ranges towards the end of 2017, with Asda and Morrison’s also offering a limited selection of vegan products.
