Tesla is helping to build lithium battery storage units in South Australia with plans to provide at least 50,000 homes with solar panels and connect them to the electricity grids. Installation is free and the cost will be covered by the sale of electricity. Over 6,500 homes have already registered their interest in participating, and houses will benefit from cheaper energy bills.
