Uber Invests £5m in Electric Vehicle Charging

Uber have announced plans to invest £5m into electric vehicle charging infrastructure in London focusing on investing in more deprived Boroughs with less charging infrastructure where their drivers are more likely to be located in a bid to enable and encourage more to make the switch to electric vehicles

So what?

Step up in terms of Uber investing in infrastructure to shift private journeys to more sustainable footing but in scheme of infrastructure issue £5m is small contribution and doesn’t tackle other issues in system such as cost of electric vehicles for drivers to purchase initially.
