Uber tests drone delivery for food in San Diego

Uber is to begin trialling food delivery by drone in San Diego, with plans for food to arrive within 30 minutes. This is part of a wider program by the US Transportation Department to test the commercial use of drones. It chose 10 state, local and tribal governments, alongside a handful of companies including Uber and Alphabet Inc, for the pilot program.
